Ask Crysti

BFF Lacrosse is rolling out a new series called “Ask Crysti”. We have put together all the frequently asked questions, in order to help our clients! This week we discuss emails and the frustration surrounding not hearing anything back!

If you want to submit a question we would love to hear from you!

“I’ve emailed at least 30 coaches with little or no response.  Should I give up? What can I do”?

No, do not give up! If you really want to play at the next level- you may have to reach out to even more programs (at various levels) in order to reach your dream! All you need is ONE program to see the potential in you- not every single school in the country!

-When emailing coaches- make sure to send your link to your recruiting profile, and video so they can easily access and evaluate.

-Make sure you are sending to the correct email addresses.  If they post multiple ones on their website make sure to use them all.  Emails like (lacrosse@school.edu) usually aren’t monitored too often so it’s better to email coaches directly if possible.

-Remember emails are only the beginning part of the process.  Coaches need to see you at camps, clinics, showcases.

-Make sure you have developed a good relationship with your club coach, high school coach, and any other professional you work with on a weekly basis. (Strength, mental coach, teachers).  These professionals are your best resource for recommendations and are a great way to get on their radar.

-Finally, remember that Division 1 coaches aren’t allowed to contact you until Sept.1 of Junior year- so that may be why you are not receiving any response.

Make sure to subscribe to become a BFF INSIDER. You will start receiving our weekly “Ask Crysti” series!
